The fifth entry in the Metal Gear Solid series, The Phantom Pain, is going to come with revolutionary open-world gameplay, a global time system, different modes of transport, and some other new features, along with a gripping story to follow. But that wont come out until early 2015 as it needs a lot more polish to apply on, so what better way to keep the players interested after the PS4 and Xbox One launch, than to take a slice of the forthcoming game and sell it as Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

Dualshockers' Tony Polanco writes: "Virtual Reality seems to be the big it thing recently. Last week we learned about Sonys Project Morpheus and yesterday we got the bombshell news about Facebook buying Oculus VR. With this in mind, how could we NOT delve into the subject? We discuss whether VR is the true next step in gaming or if its another fad like 3D and motion controls. We also discuss some of the original content posted on the site including our reviews of inFAMOUS: Second Son, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and The Witcher #1 and our editorials about The Last of Us film adaptation, Metal Gear Solid 3 and why Final Fantasy X-2 deserves more love. We also discuss Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and Peace Walker because we really cant go one week without talking about the MGS franchise on the ShockCast."

The most jaw-dropping thing about Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is its brevity. Despite all its brilliant stealth setpieces and plotting, the Metal Gear franchise is best known for the cinematic leanings of its creator, Hideo Kojima.
